I have been eating pigs in blankets ever since I can remember. Yes, I know that hot dogs get a bad rap, but that is something I just try to ignore, LOL! Well I knew that I needed to find a healthier way to make these little delights so I came up with a Weight Watchers pigs in blankets recipe that is a big win! I love, love, love this Weight Watchers recipe!

If you haven't heard of the 2 ingredient dough….you are really missing out! This stuff is the best thing since sliced bread, LOL. I have been getting creative with it ever since I made my first batch of 2 ingredient dough bagels with jalapenos.

I was looking at the hot dogs in my fridge, and it dawned on me that the two ingredient dough would be perfect for pigs in blankets. Don't you love it when the light bulb goes off in your head?? 🙂

How to Make Weight Watchers Pigs in Blankets

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • I have found the key to making the 2 ingredient dough is to use my stand mixer with the meat hook. It really seems to minimize the stickiness of the dough and makes it much easier to work with.
  • Put your self-rising flour and nonfat Greek yogurt into your mixer bowl and mix until well combined.
  • I have tried making the dough with different Greek yogurt brands and feel like the fa*ge brand works best.
  • My recipe was made with Hebrews 97% Fat-Free hot dogs. These are one point each. There are 7 hot dogs in a package so I divided my dough into 7 sections so each hot dog would get its own blanket!
  • I floured my hands and surface and then rolled each section of dough into a long log or snake shape.

  • Then I just wrapped the dough around the hot dog.

  • I brushed some egg wash on the dough before baking. This really helps them become golden brown on top.
  • Spray your baking sheet and then bake the wrapped hot dogs for about 25 minutes.
  • The baking time can really vary…but once they got nice and golden brown…I pulled them out!
