GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith senior midfielder Maddie Montgomery scored six goals and matched her career-high with 12 draw controls as the third-ranked Heron lacrosse team defeated Geneseo 16-9 in a non-conference contest on Stiles Field in the Poole Family Sports Dome this afternoon. William Smith is now 3-0 on the season.

Montgomery's 12 draw controls also matched the Herons' single-game record. It was the third time in her career that she won 12 draws. Montgomery was one of four Herons to have multi-goal games. Sophom*ores Natalie Daniels (3g, 2a) and Hannah Evans (4g, 1a) had five points each. Senior Molly Davis had two goals and an assist in the win. Davis added four draw controls for Wiliam Smith. Junior Livvy Von Heill had two caused turnovers and senior Allie McGinty logged a game-high three ground balls to go along with two assists. Junior Maura Smeader played all 60 minutes in goal and made 10 saves.

Caitlyn Korzeniewski led the way for the Knights (3-1). She had three goals. Rachel Dickinson added two goals. Emily Salanger and Tricia Curran had three draws each. Curran also had a game-high three caused turnovers. Emily DeJohn played all 60 minutes in goal. She made nine saves.
