How do you reveal minefields in Mad Max? ›

Minefields can be discovered just by driving near them. They are always accompanied by a fair amount of car wrecks. You're only other help to find them is Dinki-Di, (your stray-dog companion) who can sniff out the explosives. To unlock Dinki-Di you'll have to do an early side mission in Jeet's hideout.

You take the dog in a buggy, drive up to the mine field and then drive very slowly around and look at the dog. He will start barking and pointing in the direction of the mine when he senses it. Once you are close enough, the mine will become visible and you can get out of the buggy and walk to it.

It is chrome-colored spray paint. Inhaling the fumes of paint—or aerosol sprays in general—is a way that people can intoxicate themselves, but it most definitely causes permanent nerve and brain damage. It can also kill you.

Can only be activated by enemy Move actions (Grapple, Teleport, and Sectopod leg extensions do not trigger the Mine) - grenades/bombs/explosives/heavy weapons do not trigger the Mine (contrary to the Claymore).

The dog is primarily for sniffing out mines in the mine fields. Take Chum Buckets buggy and drive to a mine field, the dog will start barking at the location of a mine also facing the direction the said mine is in. When you get closer he will start to bark more often and louder. Hope this helps.

Minefield (Ultimate)

When used, he drops 15 mines around his location, dealing 130 damage each when activated by enemy heroes. The catch is that they take a second to be armed, making them fairly easy to avoid.

There's a limited amount of scrap in each camp, but aside from reducing threat in an area, the best value of taking a camp is gaining its resources. All allied camps will periodically (about every 20 minutes) deliver scrap to Max. Each allied camp gives 20 scrap.

Once a mine is found, the most common methods of removing it are to manually defuse it (a slow and dangerous process) or blow it up with more explosives (dangerous and costly). Research programs have explored alternatives that destroy the mine without exploding it, using chemicals or heat.

The mines are pressure-plate mines that detonate when stepped on or run over in a car. When using the buggy, whenever near a minefield Dinki-Di will start barking indicating a nearby minefield. Follow the direction the dog is pointing to find the mines.

You blow up the truck. You destroy the lead vehicle and then collect the hood ornament, this enables upgrades that progress you further in the game.

How do you unlock the Thunderpoon in Mad Max? ›

Speak with Jeet to unlock the Thunderpoon in the Garage. Equip it to the Magnum Opus then drive to Dead Barrens Pass. Once there, use the Thunderpoon to blow down the first gate.

You need to shoot the two skulls on the gate with thunderpoons, there is no other way afaik. Thunderpoons refill when you enter a base with the armory upgrade. Yep, you must have thunderpoons to get through the gate. You'll get a particular harpoon-related mission from Gutgash to get there.

The frame can be found in the Buzzards car body collection at the beginning of the game or in the Reek Hills on the East side directly West of Gutgash's stronghold. Or it can be a Modified 1973 Ford Landau that as the same body type and a noticeable smaller back windows on its hardtop.
