Jodie Sweetin has become a HallmarkChannel star with six movies for the channel under her belt as of June 2023. Starting as a child actor, Sweetin played Stephanie Tanner in the late '80s–early '90s ABC sitcom Full House. As an adult, she is a jack of all trades. Sweetin is now an actress, mother, activist, author, and podcaster. She reprised her role as Stephanie in the sequel series Fuller House, which ran on Netflix from 2016 to 2020. She also branched out into TV movies, mostly performing as a romantic lead.

With a huge fan base, Hallmark knows how to make movies that their viewers will watch. Not every movie the Hallmark Channel and Sweetin made together shines as brightly as the others. However, even the lesser films have good components that can make them fun to watch.

6 A Cozy Christmas Inn (2022)
A Cozy Christmas Inn is a Hallmark movie that tells the story of a real-estate junior executive named Ericka, played by Jodie Sweetin. She wants to buy a small Alaskan Inn for her company, but she must face her ex Andy (David O'Donnell), who owns the place. This movie is a sequel to the 2014 movie Christmas Under Wraps. Compared to the first film, A Cozy Christmas Inn doesn't hold up. The premise doesn't make sense for a 2022 movie. Andy's blog feels antiquated in a film-and-photo-based digital world. The inn also has no guests, so it isn't a profitable acquisition. Outside these flaws, the film still struggles to impress.
Despite strong actors, the main characters in A Cozy Christmas Inn fall flat in their personalities. It's confusing that Andy has little charisma or intrigue given that his character already appeared as the love interest in Christmas Under Wraps. Additionally, Ericka gives up everything, including her career, to be with Andy. This doesn't feel worth it since the two lack chemistry. The strength of A Cozy Christmas lies in its setting. Garland feels quaint and fun, filled with quirky supporting characters, and its buildings look magical and Christmasy. The landscape feels extremely homey, especially covered in snow. All the decorations give the film heart, even with all its other shortcomings.
5 Finding Santa (2017)
Jodie Sweetin's first Hallmark Channel movie, Finding Santa, premiered in the holiday season of 2017. Sweetin plays Grace, a woman who adores Christmas with every fiber of her being. When the Christmas parade's Santa gets injured, Grace must convince his son Ben (Eric Winter) to take over the role. Viewers can easily appreciate Grace's passion for the holiday, yet she does come across as pushy and unlikable at times. Ben expresses that he hates Christmas, but she continues to insist on him changing his mind. Enthusiasm doesn't excuse crossing boundaries. Sweetin and Winter make a great match, though. Their characters fill the opposites-attract trope of Hallmark movies.

4 Entertaining Christmas (2018)
In the Hallmark movie Entertaining Christmas, Jodie Sweetin offers a strong performance in a slightly lackluster story. When Candice's mom decides to step down from her lifestyle business, she is thrust into the role of her successor; except, she doesn't know how to perform any of the activities the brand is known for. When her mom sends her to an event in a Vermont town, Candice must learn how to cook, sew, and decorate. In this "fake it until you make it" tale, Sweetin brings warmth to the role of Candice. Her can-do attitude despite her general lack of know-how comes across as charming and relatable.
As with most Hallmark movies, Candice's story involves a romance with a handsome local man. Brendan Fehr plays the role of John Ryan, a news reporter who tries to help Candace pull off her events. John and Candace possess fantastic chemistry, getting stronger throughout the film. Unfortunately, Entertaining Christmas lacks one component that would make it a hit. The typical Hallmark Channel warm and fuzzy feelings are missing. The story is compelling. The romance is dreamy. Each element works on its own, but it never comes all together in a fully rewarding way.
3 The Jane Mysteries: Inheritance Lost (2023)
The Jane Mysteries: Inheritance Lost combines the traditional Hallmark Channel genres of romance and mysteries. Jodie Sweetin plays singer-turned-detective Jane DaSilva, who takes on the case of a teenage girl who wants the truth about her mother's death. With the assistance of homicide investigator John Cameron (Stephen Huszar), Jane attempts to unravel the true events. Though they don't get together in the film, Jane and John have undeniable chemistry. With future Jane Mysteries movies, these two may find a romance developing. Until then, it's a slow burn.
Sweetin brings Jane's personality to life as a self-aware protagonist who knows she's vastly unqualified for her new job. Her candor and caring nature make Jane one of the most lovable Hallmark mystery movie characters. The movie is also well-written and builds suspense at all the right moments.
2 Merry & Bright (2019)
Jodie Sweetin stars in the phenomenal Hallmark Channel movie Merry & Bright as Cate, a woman who attempts to keep her family's struggling small business afloat. Gabe (Andrew Walker) is a corporate recovery consultant who comes from out of town to help her turn Merry & Bright Candy Canes profitable. As they spend time together, Gabe and Cate begin falling for one another. The chemistry and banter between these two lovebirds create a desire for them to end up together.
This movie possesses many of the Hallmark Channel tropes that fans love. An out-of-towner falls for a small-towner. A small business takes a turn for the worse but ends up better than ever. Two people develop romance around Christmas. The town is covered in snow and has a tree-lighting ceremony. The tough guy has a heart of gold. Combined with great performances by two top-notch actors, Merry & Bright is bound to warm the hearts of every Hallmark fan.

1 Love Under the Rainbow (2019)
Love Under the Rainbow is Jodie Sweetin's best Hallmark Channel movie. She plays Lucy, a third-grade teacher who has given up on love. She bumps into Jack (David Haydn-Jones), a handsome widower and single father, and while both become smitten, Jack continually pulls away out of fear that he and his daughter Sophie (Dakota Guppy) will get hurt. Meanwhile, Sophie puts together a science fair project that relates to her late mother. The movie focuses on themes of finding family and love after losing a loved one.
The movie feels extremely sincere and heartfelt. When Lucy interacts with children in her class, you can tell that she truly cares about them. Additionally, Jack puts his attention into being the best single father possible. His priority is always Sophie, never romance. Many parents know what it's like to put their kids ahead of themselves. With a deeply emotional storyline, Love Under the Rainbow is a movie that fans of both the HallmarkChannel and Jodie Sweetin will find themselves coming back to repeatedly.
