Academic

  • ACM Student Chapter.
  • ASME Student Section.ASME helps university engineering students develop their professional identity and provides essential engagement opportunities by offering access to a wide range of activities and resources such as membership, competitions, scholarships, student sections and much more.
  • Beta Gamma Sigma.Founded in 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma is the international business honor society for AACSB-accredited schools, which are the top 5% of business school programs around the world. Lipscomb's chapter was founded 11/15/2022. We honor the top 10% of undergraduate students and the top 20% of graduate students with recognition several times each year.
  • IEEE.IEEE and its members inspire a global community to innovate for a better tomorrow through highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. IEEE is the trusted “voice” for engineering, computing, and technology information around the globe.
  • MED Club.Med Club’s mission is to prepare students on the pre-medicine track for their futures as healthcare providers, while giving them a space for fellowship and adjacent learning about the application process. We strive to build as many connections as possible to physicians and medical school representatives, giving our members a vast understanding of the requirements and suggestions to building a strong application. We strive to equip pre-meds with volunteering hours, shadowing opportunities, and overall confidence in their abilities to apply–and get into medical school.
  • Pi Beta Sigma. Encourage social work students to uphold social work values and provide a sense of community amongst future helping professionals.
  • Pre-PA Club. To organize a community of Pre-PA students on campus and provide helpful information through monthly meetings.

Affinity Groups

The primary purpose of these organizations is to provide a place for students who are seeking a sense of identity, comfort or support within a specific culture or are interested in experiencing and/or learning about a different culture. Affinity groups report to the Office of Intercultural Development.

  • A-CON. The organization will hold a variety of events and meetings in order to help Asian students find community to celebrate their own cultures with the additional goal to educate the greater Lipscomb University student body.
  • ABLE. Our mission is to create opportunities and events for Lipscomb students to get to know students of various abilities and to bond and be inclusive of people with disabilities. By creating these connections through our activities, a more inclusive community should start to grow and thrive in all spaces of Lipscomb University. Likewise, people will be encouraged to participate in the IDEAL organization as a peer mentor. We will focus on the ABILITY of all people in our community, lifting up and empowering each other to thrive and live the way God has planned for us.
  • African Student Association (ASA).The mission of this association is to aid the African students on Lipscomb's campus by giving them different resources to succeed in their academic and social endeavors.
  • Black Student Association.In an effort to foster an accommodating and supportive environment for Black students, the Black Student Association seeks to elevate and amplify the voices of these students at Lipscomb University. In recognition of the need for an organization to meet the academic, political, spiritual and social needs of Black students, we the Black Student Union seek to establish and maintain an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
  • Middle Eastern Student Association. The mission of the Middle Eastern Student Association is to advance Middle Eastern culture within the Lipscomb community. Through thoughtful discussions and enjoyable activities and celebrations, we seek to inform the Lipscomb community and promote a genuine appreciation of everything the area offers. MESA promotes community, acceptance and educational opportunities to enhance Lipscomb's general intellectual climate and diversity.
  • RAICES.RAICES is dedicated to creating a community for all Latinos, working to welcome new and returning students alike. We seek to bridge the gap by meeting the unique needs of everyone while providing solidarity and the reassurance of a community that is ready to serve and uplift. We are committed to honoring all members as having unique perspectives that make valuable contributions to the club as a whole.
  • Talk to the Hand.The purpose of this organization is to integrate American Sign Language and our passion for Christ. We will provide interactive, engaging and exciting ways to learn American Sign Language by presenting all members with basics of the language, incorporating fun activities to make the lessons memorable, weekly gatherings for all students, biweekly gatherings to offer the opportunity for Lipscomb students who are hearing impaired to connect socially.
  • W.E.B. Du Boise International Honor Society.The purpose of the W.E.B. DuBois Honor Society is to honor the memory of W.E.B. DuBois by promoting the pursuit of academic excellence in all fields of higher education, to engage the community of scholars in service to others and to recognize the outstanding achievements of the society’s members.

The primary purpose of these organizations is to provide some type of service to the community or fulfill a ministerial mission. These organizations report to the Office of Spiritual Formation.

  • Be Unshakable Ministries.BUD is a men’s ministry that creates an atmosphere of brotherhood where we journey through life together trying to understand and follow the plan that God has laid out for us.

  • Delight Ministries.Delight exists to be a place that any Lipscomb collegiate woman can come and grow in relationships with others, ask difficult questions and find a strong community of Christians and non-Christians alike. Delight provides an opportunity for the women of Lipscomb to explore their faith in a nonjudgmental and open environment. Delight hopes to equip the women of Lipscomb to give back to the community through service and loving actions.

  • Disciples on Campus.D.O.C. is a college ministry that will promote Christ's love and His teachings. The purpose of this group is to create a spiritual environment, centered on the Bible, where students can communicate, teach and learn about one's life and doctrine. We are evangelistic, and welcome everyone to Bible Talk discussions, midweek services, campus devotionals, service events, worship, retreats, conferences, training programs, prayer and more.

  • Nurses Christian Fellowship.The purpose of the organization is to establish and advance at Lipscomb University witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture and God's purposes in the world. Nurses Christian Fellowship pursues this purpose by equipping students and faculty to integrate Christian faith and professional nursing, to engage in evangelism and service, to practice spiritual formation in the context of community.

  • OCCM - Orthodox Christian Campus Ministry
    OCCM aims to experience the church through prayer, service and study of Oriental Orthodox Literature, to evangelize the unique message of Oriental Orthodox Churches and to deepen involvement of youth into the Oriental Orthodox Community through personal and professional development, fostering a spiritual support system to unite Oriental Orthodox and non-Oriental Orthodox college students under one banner.

  • The Vine at Nine.The mission of The Vine is to glorify God by cultivating a vibrant community of Lipscomb University students dedicated to worship, Scripture engagement, thoughtful discussion, and collective prayer, abiding in Christ as the true vine from whom all life and fruitful living flows.Our weekly meeting held in Ezell Chapel offers an opportunity for worship, reflection and spiritual growth.

  • Young Life.Helping students from all stages of faith take their next steps in knowing and following Jesus!

Club Sports

The primary purpose of these organizations is to provide a space for students to engage in non-varsity athletics. Club sports organizations report to the Director of the Student Activities Center.

  • Bison Skaters.Bison Skaters’ primary purpose is to cultivate a fun space by bringing people together for the common interest of skating. Though the main interest will be directed at roller skaters/bladers, “skating” also encompasses (but is not limited to) skateboarding and scootering.

  • Bison Stampede.The purpose of this club is to foster a meaningful community of runners who encourage one another through their physical, mental, and spiritually challenged, all while embodying Proverbs 4:26.

  • Lipscomb Badminton Club.Lipscomb Badminton Club is formed to provide a friendly, welcoming community for Badminton enthusiasts in Lipscomb University. We invite anyone who expresses interest in the Badminton sport or is willing to learn more about this sport to participate in our meetings and activities and introduce this sport to a new audience.

  • Lipscomb Tennis Club.The Lipscomb Tennis Club is a co-ed organization designed to provide a relaxing and fun environment for people of all skill levels to grow and develop their tennis abilities.

  • Lipscomb Ultimate Frisbee.Lipscomb Ultimate Frisbee creates great community among students from all different majors and backgrounds looking for a year-round sport.

  • The New Heights Club.We strive to consistently rock climb on a bi-weekly basis, strengthening our abilities and our relationships with each other as we go. Becoming a great group of friends through climbing and physical activity is our top priority as we develop new and fun special activities to enjoy.

General Organizations

The primary purpose of these organizations is to create pathways for students to share similar interests. These organizations report directly to the Director of Student Involvement.

  • Beyond the Basics.Beyond the Basics is a STEAM (STEM plus Arts) based club that centers around education, community volunteering, and outreach. We create events of our particular interest in the STEAM realm, outreach to schools around the metro area, and teach or present these events to the students of that school. Our motto is to LEARN, CONNECT, AND EXPLORE!
  • Civic Engagement and Advocacy Club.To move beyond digital discourse communities, political hobbyism, and translate that energy into engagement with our democratic institutions and representative entities.
  • Classics Book Club.The purpose of Classics Book Club is to provide space for communal discussion of classic literature.

  • Creative Writing Community.

  • Game and Art Design Team.The Lipscomb University Game Art and Design team aims to provide a platform for students who are interested in video game development to learn and utilize the tools of this field. As a collaborative effort between students of different departments, we're able to create everything for our game in-house, from code artifacts to music to art and animation. We work in tandem with the College of Entertainment and the Arts's Game Art and Design major to complete projects that span across multiple semesters, giving our members a chance to experience each phase of video game development.

  • Linedancing @ Lipscomb.Our purpose is to provide a fun on campus outlet for Lipscomb students to build fellowship and community through the common interest of dancing to the country music roots of our great city in Nashville. Specifically, we will be providing a place for students to participate in line dancing and 2-stepping.

  • Lippy Lunatics. The Lippy Lunatics Student Section Leaders mission is to engage students with athletics and in game happenings. The Lippy Lunatics will strive to keep a fun and energetic atmosphere on
    game day to benefit everyone. The goal of Lippy Lunatics is to create an experience that will
    make Lipscomb students want more and come back to the next game. The Lippy Lunatics will
    create traditions that will stay with The Herd Student Section for years of students to come.

  • Lipscomb Anime Club.The Lipscomb Anime Club's mission is to provide its members with an entertaining and welcoming environment in which to view anime and anime films on a weekly basis. We invite anyone to participate in our meetings and activities so we can introduce the anime genre to a brand new audience and let them see that anime can be enjoyed by everyone, no matter the age or person.

  • Psychology Club.Psychology Club was formed to create a community of like-minded people participating in a variety of social and educational events, all built around psychology! We are passionate about providing our members with new knowledge concerning the latest psychology information, especially about mental health and self-care. Our main goal is to build a community filled with love, acceptance, and empathy while preparing individuals to help themselves and those struggling around them. We are also affiliated with Psi Chi, the International Honor Society of Psychology.

  • Turning Point USA.TPUSA's mission is to identify, educate, train and organize students to promote the principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets and limited government.

  • Women in Animation Lipscomb University Club.
